Analysis of upcoming Unit Assessments by 1 or 2 course teachers:
- Matching of existing items to standards listed on assessment(s).
- Separation of “fluency” items (time-restricted) from “PARCC-style” items (time-recommendation)
- Discuss changes and accommodations and/or adjustments to assessments
- Adding items for missing standards
- Removing non-aligned items
- Adjust length for time for assessment
- Alternate versions (i.e. version B, ver C, etc.)
Analysis of upcoming Unit Assignments by 1 or 2 course teachers:
- Provide PARCC-style “bell ringers”
- Provide questions to add to/replace current student assignments
- 1-2 fluency items
- 1-2 PARCC-style items
- Note: not necessary for every assignment, but for the majority
Discuss standards for the following Unit
- Give overview of standards
- Discuss desired outcomes and how to accurately assess
- Assign Course Teacher(s) to Unit.
