Edwardsville Community School District #7 Mission & Goals
Edwardsville High School Mission & Goals
I. EHS Math Department Vision and Mission

The vision and mission of the EHS Math Department is to promote and encourage the understanding of mathematics both as a field of study as well as an integral part of an advanced society. Current students and past graduates of EHS who have completed all math requirements should be able to look back at their secondary education and recognize this value as they put their mathematical skills to use in their daily lives, whether it be at home, in college, or at work.

II. Math Department Summary

The foundational strength of the Edwardsville High School Math Department has always been in the experience, knowledge, and professionalism of its teachers. The primary focus of each teacher is on the development of the math skills of the individual student through a consistent and rigorous curriculum. Over the years, this strength has been maintained and enhanced through the collaborative and collegial work of the math teachers as well as through the recognition of teachers who, year after year, expect and maintain high academic standards for their students.
